Project
management.
Our vast experience
dismantling pipe organs allows us to
offer comprehensive services for the
institution purchasing a new
instrument. Our crew includes
skilled carpenters well-versed in
the specialized work required by
many church buildings. We have
constructed new organ chambers with
specially designed sound-reflecting
walls and ceilings, supplied
scaffolding and rigging equipment,
coordinated the schedules of
electricians, lighting specialists,
sound technicians, and other
specialized contractors. Because we
are familiar with the language of
the pipe organ, the workings of the
church, we are ideally suited to
serve as principal contractors and
project managers, helping you sell
and remove your old instrument,
supplying storage space when
required, and preparing your
building for the delivery of the new
instrument. >
Consulting
We are available as
consultants, offering advice and
council to institutions that are
reassessing their music programs. We
can discuss pipe organ purchase,
renovation, and placement, placement
of choirs and clergy for the
effective presentation of liturgy.
We are happy to discuss acoustics,
and how to plan building renovation
projects with sensitivity to the
needs of the pipe organ. If you are
planning new construction, we can
work with your architect to ensure
that appropriate space, position,
and conditions are prepared for a
pipe organ. We have an unusual depth
of experience with instruments and
buildings of all sizes and
descriptions on which to base
assessments of existing organs or to
advise toward the purchase of a new
or used instrument. Our consultation
services can involve a single visit,
written reports, or continuing
relationships to oversee the
completion of a project. We also
offer full educational programs
designed to provide a committee with
a strong foundation of experience in
knowledge on which to base a wise
decision.
Pipe Organ Relocation
Our experienced and energetic
crews are available for the packing,
disassembly, and transportation of
the organ you purchase. We have
handled tiny and precious antique
instruments, 200 rank behemoths from
convention and concert halls, and
anything in between. We have moved
instruments in station wagons and in
fleets of semi-trailers. We provide
crates, materials, trucks, and any
necessary rigging equipment. We can
deliver an instrument to the organ
House for renovation, to a storage
facility, or directly to your
building.

Lectures and Recitals
Our managing director
Ayo Ujaoritse Pratt
is available for the
presentation of slide lectures
discussing the history and culture
of the pipe organ. Mr. Pratt's joint
career as organist and organ
consultant is the source for
anecdotes to liven up the
discussion. These can be combined
with the performance of organ music
to form an entertaining and
informative evening. Be in touch
with us for information about
subjects and fees if you are
planning a banquet, concert series,
or festival. |
